Rita E. Numerof, Ph.D. - President
Dr. Rita Numerof is co-founder and President of NAI. Her dedication, leadership,
and passion have guided NAI into its third decade of continuous growth and success.
From the firm's inception, Rita has focused on dynamic industries that are challenged
to develop new business models in order to adapt to major changes in their
markets. Among them are industries that are critical to global economic growth --
financial services, healthcare delivery, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, telecommunications
and major industrial manufacturers. Bringing experience, style, and boundless energy,
Rita has applied her expertise to help fundamentally reshape these organizations
and their ability to conceptualize and execute new strategy in changing markets.
Rita has a deep understanding of the challenges executives face in sustaining growth
and profitability in increasingly fluid markets. As a result, she's become a trusted
advisor to senior management teams across a wide range of leading companies. Her
cross-industry perspective, combined with her expertise in strategy execution and
optimizing corporate performance are the basis for objective counsel that leading
executives tap into on a regular basis.
Dr. Numerof graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College, Syracuse University
and received her Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College. She is widely published in business
journals, has authored four books and serves as an adjunct faculty member of the
Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

Michael N. Abrams, M.A. - Managing Partner
Michael Abrams is co-founder, Vice President and Managing Partner of NAI. Over the
last 25 years he has built a portfolio of strategy and business performance successes
as both an internal and external consultant to Fortune 500 corporations.
Leveraging his corporate management experience prior to founding NAI, Michael
has shaped the development of NAI's practice to focus on innovative adaptation of
strategy for changing markets, and alignment of process and metrics with that strategy.
His leadership ensures emphasis on realistic strategy and a rigor in managing the
complex change necessary to impact organizational performance.
Michael is also an advocate for data-based business decision-making, helping clients
develop structured tools and guidelines to guide important decisions. He provides
our clients objectivity and practicality in the design and installation of database
management, decision support systems, and technology integration - all to better
support business objectives. In effect, while appreciating the art of running a
business, he maximizes the science of it.
Mr. Abrams completed his doctoral work in Business Policy at St. Louis University.
He received his M.A. from George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is
a frequent business journal author and has served as an adjunct faculty member at
Washington University and Webster University in St. Louis, and LaSalle University
School of Business Administration in Philadelphia. Michael has taught MBA courses
in strategy, management, program planning and evaluation, quantitative decision
making and market analysis.
